On behalf of our Federal Government client, MaxSys Staffing & Consulting is on the hunt for experienced Procurement and Supply Specialists who are interested in working with our Federal Government client on a permanent basis. Position Details:
 
Work Type: Permanent

Position Classification and Level:  Purchasing Group (PG) – Level 4 (04)

Note: Purchasing and Supply experience can be related to Goods and/or Services and can include Construction, IT, Professional Services, Military, Health Care, etc. In your application please specify your area of experience within supply chain/procurement.
 
Anticipated Start Date: within 3-4 months

Salary Range: $75,000 – $86,000 annual salary + incentives – which is based on PG-04 TBS classification stream

Location of Work: Ottawa, Ontario (National Capital Region) / Gatineau, Quebec.

Language: Various language requirements (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB; Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC; English Essential; French Essential)

Security Clearance / Eligibility: Enhanced Reliability.

Required Experience for PG-04:
 
Must have acquired 2 years of experience within the last five (5) years in supply and procurement strategies, processes and methodologies (bid preparation, evaluations, negotiations, etc.)
EX1:  Recent and significant* experience in at least four of the following procurement activities:Providing procurement advice and guidance to management, peers, employees, or clients;Developing procurement strategies or plans.Issuing or awarding contracts, standing offers or supply arrangements;Conducting bid evaluations;Negotiating contracts;Managing contracts, standing offers or supply arrangements.
EX2: Significant* experience in the delivery of complex* procurement activities in at least one of the following:Supply chain managementProcurement assessment and planningContract ManagementLegal procurement agreements.
Definitions: 

Recent and significant* experience is defined as having performed these functions by playing a lead role for at least two years within the last five years.
 
Complex* is defined as having one or more of the following characteristics:  involving multiple players, with competing interests, requiring considerations and management of risks.
 
Abilities:

A1: Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
A2: Ability to communicate effectively orally.

Asset Qualifications
 
Occupational Certification:
 
In receipt of relevant Professional Certification (such as but not limited to: Professional Designation for the Procurement and Material Management Community offered by the Treasury Board Secretariat, Certified Federal Specialist in Procurement (CFSP), Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP), Professional Engineer (P. Eng), Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation, or Project Management Professional (PMP), completion of the required training for federal procurement functional specialists).
 
Asset Experience:Experience in federal government procurement either as a federal government procurement officer or by responding to federal government tenders.Experience in supplier engagement (for example: Request for Information, industry days, focus groups and/or supplier consultations).Experience in the procurement or contracting of specific goods and/or services (please provide specific details regarding all relevant categories and/or commodities for which you have experience, for example: commercial, marine, or military goods and/or services; professional services; construction services; IM/IT; and R&D; etc.).Experience in a supervising at least 2 individuals over a continuous period of at least 12 months.Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams (for example: legal, technical experts, and functional specialists). Experience with e-procurement systems (for example: bidding, managing contracts, standing offers or supply arrangements that make use of an e-catalog and/or e-orders).

REQUIRED EDUCATION FOR PG-04:

Education: Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary educational program.
