We are currently seeking an Experienced Accounts Payable Clerk on a contract basis for our valued client in the Moncton region. This is a day shift position, running during business hours Monday through Friday. Salary is negotiable pending previous experience.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for processing and maintaining transactions as part of our Accounts Payable team.
-Sort, match, review and set up invoices for payment
-Monitor discount opportunities and ensure prompt   payments
-Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
-Maintain an organized filing system for all appropriate documents
-Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve discrepancies with internal teams
-Keep Controller informed of potential accounting and billing issues
-Assist with other accounting and admin duties as assigned
-Diploma in accounting or financial related program
-2+ years of experience in accounts payable with knowledge of inventory-related processes – including purchase orders, receiving, costing, and freight.
-General understanding of computerized accounting systems required, experience with Syspro software considered a strong asset
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office – strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
-Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
