MaxSys is currently looking for an Advanced Auditor for our Federal Client.
Qualifications:
Education:
Secondary school diploma is required
Must Possess A University Degree And A Professional Accounting Designation
Experience:
Must demonstrate through detailed project summaries, that the proposed resource has a minimum 5 years of experience serving as CFO or DCFO in the federal government
Must demonstrate through detailed project summaries that the proposed resource has a minimum 10 years of experience providing strategic advice to senior officials – defined as Assistant Deputy Minister level and above.
Must have experience working with senior officers of Bargaining Agents (unions) on files of common interest. Senior officer level is defined as President or Vice-President.
Duties may include, but not limited to:
The work to be performed will be related but not limited to:
Provide ongoing strategic advice to the Senior Director, Operations Claims Office and Assistant Secretary, Corporate Services Sector on the implementation of the MoA on Damages;
Accompany and/or represent the Senior Director/Assistant Secretary at senior level meetings with the Secretary and Office of the President of the Treasury Board on Phoenix related issues;
Accompany and/or represent the Senior Director/Assistant Secretary in liaising with senior department officials (typically at the CFO level) on issues related to claims, particularly contentious cases;
Liaise with executive level staff of the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (OCHRO) on the interpretation of the MoA for consistent application by the Claims Office;
Participate in the design, development and implementation of Tier 3 claims process;
Provide advice on management control issues related to Tier 3 claims process in order to enable departments to process such claims for payment;
Serve as quality control function, particularly on Tier 3 claims, including assessment of future impact on any decisions;
Develop and modify business cases and financial plans in seeking sources of funding for the Claims Office;
Accompany and/or represent the Senior Director/Assistant Secretary in liaison with Bargaining Agent representatives on claims issues in general, and implementation of the MoA in particular;
Provide strategic advice on other matters as requested by the Senior Director.
