Duties and Responsibilities:Supporting manufacturing operations, to ensure optimal mechanical performance of the high speed automated assembly lines and production yields. Identification, development and implementation of process improvement initiativesInvestigations into product and process problems, perform root cause analysis, implement changes, and develop documentation and reactions schemes, anInvestigations into non-conformances (NCRs) and documentation of findings and Corrective Actions in Quality Records (QRs).
Education and Experience:A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Applied Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical or equivalent)Zero to six years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment with high-speed automated machinery (Will accept Co-Op experience)Working knowledge of process control methods, data analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical techniquesProven technical, creative, and implementation skills to contribute to process reliability and product manufacturability/performanceStrong interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills,Proficiency with MS OfficeAttention to quality and detail
Familiarity with any of the following areas would be an asset:
automated assembly processes, seal and adhesion technology, product packaging, injection molded components, experimental design and statistical process control, ISO/FDA regulations, risk management/FMEA methods, root cause analysis (6Ms/ 5 Whys), Solidworks and statistical software packages such as Minitab, SAS JMP and MSSQL.
