MaxSys is currently looking for an AV Technician for our Federal Client.
Experience:Must clearly demonstrate experience performing first line diagnostics and provide fault rectification and maintenance recommendations on in service audio / visual equipment, peripherals and network devices. This will include interacting with clients, providing system capabilities and limitations, and providing verbal briefs and tutorial at the user level.Must clearly demonstrate ability to lift, carry and position various types of audio/visual equipment, some of which may weight up to 40kg, combined with frequent repetitive movements and possess a sense of balance to climb equipment, specifically a ladder.
Set-up and operation of video teleconferencing communications/public announcement equipment, such as cameras, video screens, control systems, workstations and switches, speakers, soundboards, etc;
Conduct Quality Control inspections of VTC and AV equipment before the start of related tasks;
Maintain conference logs, including online times, technical difficulties, record of any security breaches and perform access control of facilities;
Interact with clients while conducting site visits in order to determine requirements and/or issues that need to be addressed in support of client requests/trouble tickets.
Provide clear instruction to local users on the procedures to be followed when conducting a VTC and using AV equipment.
Provide basic troubleshooting for problems that may occur while establishing communications or that are encountered during onsite visits/trouble calls.
Maintain communications during VTC;
Install prepared presentations, i.e. Power Point, DVD, VHS or OHP, when required;
