Our client is looking for a “BBM-NS-Web Developer 116133-MS” to work in Halifax, however remote work is an option for this role.
A Web Developer is required to work with a team of internal resources to develop custom
software applications that enable government programs and processing, including public web pages for interacting with government.
The Web Developer, under the direction of the Manager, will be responsible for, but not
limited to, the following tasks:
Understanding the business requirements
Understanding and contributing to the functional design
Coding and unit testing
Database development and scripting
The specific assignments will be provided at the beginning of the contract and will be revisited during the contract according to business priorities. Assignments may include
work on projects, such as the insourcing of the Wildlife Resources System and Hunter Education, and support for various other business applications.
The successful candidate must be available to start work within 7 days of award of
contract. Duration of the contract will be approximately 35 business days
(depending on the per diem cost). A workday is 7.5 hours.
APPROACH / CONSTRAINTS
Resources must work within the Nova Scotia Digital Services target architecture as
defined by Enterprise Architecture.
Take direction from the Team Lead
Submit deliverables to the Team Lead
Escalate issues to the Team Lead
Submit weekly status reports to the Team Lead and Manager
The Web Developer must have skills and experience in:
Classic ASP and VBScript
.NET Technologies, including C#, ASP.NET MVC
Microsoft SQL Server
Previous experience with the Government of Nova Scotia would be considered an asset.
