Our client is looking for a “Business Analyst Intermediate IT” to work in Mississauga.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information, the Business Analyst would work closely with the business sponsor or product owner teams to ensure all functional requirements are developed, documented, understood by the teams and tested before implementing into production.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate has a unique combination of technical, communication, project management and customer service skills. An aptitude for new technology and the ability to learn it quickly with a broad knowledge of SaaS, and software development methodologies. The candidate is well organized with a great eye for detail and can manage multiple concurrent projects. Responsibilities include overall business analysis and documentation, customer support and solution testing for projects and system enhancements. In addition, partner with vendors/Business to prime and resolve defects and ensure alignment post release.
 
Business Documentation
Participate in project definition workshops with our Business Units and Vendor to clearly identify, articulate, develop detailed business requirements and documentation. Translate the business requirements into a work breakdown structure. Perform and document a business process review of current and proposed business process including where improvements may be needed. Determine testing strategy, prepare test plans, testing documentation, work with, and assist the business users to perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
Understand the Business Units current state, including pain points, intended optimizations, and goals. Leverage that understanding to define and design solutions that meet those business needs, goals, or objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Strong time management, project management/coordination skills with the ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure;
Excellent problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills;
Experience with Business Process Reviews and requirements gathering including ability to use various techniques, interviewing, use case modeling, gap-fit analysis, data flow diagrams, process definition for example;
Demonstrated ability to interpret requirements, recommend solutions and participate in business analysis sessions with customers and;
Strong business and IT documentation skills.
 
Level of Experience and Education Required:
• A post secondary degree in IT or Information Security Governance processes
• 3-5 years of experience in business analysis
• Previous experience in Information Security Governance processes and training would be preferred;
