Our client in Banking & Finance industry is seeking a Business Consultant in Toronto. This is 6 months contract position.
 
Job Description
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• Ensures effective delivery and support to key business management function
• Ensures effective relationship management with the key stakeholders across the enterprise to deliver vendor management, financial management, strategic direction & deliverables, support operation of the CIO Business Management offices
• Responsible for negotiation and execution of contracts in collaboration with Procurement and Legal teams
• Responsible for driving more effective contracts – Rate Cards, Punitive clauses, Terms of delivery, strong acceptance criteria, etc…
• Is responsible for reporting, which have potential to broadly impact business partner and/or enterprise level decisions and reviews – make it higher level
• Can support the team for Risk & Compliance initiatives and activities.
• Be a point of escalation for STO and LTO leadership team levels.
• Participates in regular Client service reviews to share service insight and gain client perspective of the service provided
• Responsible for holding service discussions to improve Business Management services and support models
• Interfaces with Finance to govern the Financial Management of the CIO portfolio.
• Collaborates with internal and external governance groups in order to ensure internal processes support all Bank’s & Technology compliance and regulatory requirements
• Champions change and continuous improvement of service quality by identifying opportunities and following through to implementation
 
TOP SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrates solid knowledge of Vendor Management
• Possesses experience in consulting, technology, financial services, project management skills at a senior management level
• Displays advanced skill with Microsoft Excel
• Possesses experience in vendor management & Business Management/office of the CIO – MSA, SOWs, Proof of concept contracts
• Possesses experience in service level metrics development and analysis
• Familiarity with the role of IT outsourcing governance and associated processes
• Possesses a proven ability to effectively translate business speak to technical and vice versa to ensure ongoing communications are clearly understood by all parties
• Able to build a model that is sustainable for rapid growth when delivering new processes or new services to a development team at all levels (from Development to Executive CIO)

• Experience in banking/financial services
• Experience with process improvement

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
• University/College Diploma in Business Technology or related field
