Maxsys Staffing & Consulting is currently conducting a recruitment search for a Business Development Manager for a new location opening in Edmonton January 2022, for our client, an Industry specialist in chemical cleaning and in the deployment of mobile treatment units. Reporting to the Managing Director of North America, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for creating new business opportunities in Western Canada starting in Alberta. With a focus on the Oil & Gas industry this position will be based out of Edmonton, AB. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing the business through the Western Canadian market (focused on AB / SK / BC) – waste to energy plant, power plant – and generate net growth for the Canadian subsidiary. Management of the new warehouse implementation Activating business network and professional social network / representing the company during trade exhibition. Managing an existing portfolio and developing new prospects and maintaining periodical contact through telephone & email communication. Prospecting new clients across the energy sectors through cold calls and warm leads (prospection plan will be jointly defined with the Managing Director). Reporting sales visits and making sure of the relevance of the information. Identifying potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization Setting up and attend face to face meetings (understanding and qualifying client’s needs and requirements. Once Identified, writing technical and commercial offers with the support of the managing director Building up client relationships to maintain and develop business Reporting on a weekly basis to management Liaising with site to ensure technical and financial success of each project ordered: interface between the client’s previse requirements and company field team (immediate reporting to managing director any operational or financial risk of potential drift) The Business Development Manager position based in Edmonton, AB, requires up to 40% travel. Travel includes across Western Canada, Quebec and the United States. WHO YOU ARE: The Business Development Manager profile we are looking for is someone experienced with new location openings, who has the drive and initiative to grow the business in a new market.
