Our client in the Banking industry is seeking a Channel Analyst in Toronto. This is a 12 months contract.
 
Role Mandate:
The Channel Analyst is responsible for developing automated, scalable reporting and analytics solutions for Canadian P&C, with a focus on dashboard development. This position will support omni-channel analytics through delivery of reporting, insights and measurement in line with Enterprise strategy and Digital Acceleration.
The incumbent will act as reporting and analytics subject matter expert for the Digital Channels portfolio, combining both business and technology acumen to generate and maintain reporting in various forms (ad-hoc analyses, data visualization, self-serve BI).

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Build Power BI Dashboards from scratch and maintain existing reporting
• Data curation – extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating and validation using database tools .Must have SAS, SQL skills and experience to do so
• Identify, analyze and interprets trends of patterns in complex data set. Analyze data to drive business decisions and actionable recommendations
• Assimilate and analyze information from a variety of sources, make recommendations and present information in an easy and understandable manner
• Develop in-depth understanding of the bank’s data and systems (IDP, CAD, CDW, Adobe)
• Work proactively and collaboratively with key clients and stakeholders to continuously enhance reporting and identify KPI’s
• Quality check key deliverables, ensuring they are delivered accurately and to the highest quality
Must-Have Skills:
• 3+ years’ experience in business intelligence/ ETL and analytics
• Strong experience within data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets- particularly SQL, SAS expertise
• 3+ years of experience implementing data visualization (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau)
• Ability to build dashboards in adherence with customer requirements
• Strong logical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong coding skills, albeit not necessarily in a strictly developer role
• Willingness to learn and being curious;
• Strong communication skills, oral and written
• Ability to perform on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight timelines Experience with the bank’s data and familiarity with the bank’s  products and operations is a nice to have
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience working in a banking/finance environment
• Strong Python/R experience
• Experience working in digital channels or content analytics is a very nice bonus
