MaxSys Staffing and Consulting is looking for a full-time Collections Associate to join our client’s team in Laval, Quebec. Our client has recently joined forces with Canada’s Leading Trade Contractor to further expand in the Quebec Market. Responsibilities of the Collections Associate:

• Daily collections and follow up of problem receivables
• Dealings with customers, branch administrators and managers
• Investigating short payments
• Balancing contract amounts
• Reconciling accounts
• Maintenance of employee paperwork for field staff 
• Make sure the change orders are properly documented and accounted for
• Create and close subcontracts, submit pay requests
• Submission tracking to obtain a purchase order from the customer
• Invoice labor and material records according to the work order signed by the client and approve with the director’s prices
• High volume file management; make sure the files are complete, all permissions and information of the completed job are present
• Answer the phone for service call and transfer calls to the appropriate person
• Track orders placed with our suppliers with delivery confirmation date
• Other tasks as required

Qualifications of the Collections Associate:

• Minimum of 5 years credit and collections experience
• Knowledge of accounting principals
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills – ability to effectively deal with both external and internal customers
• Assertive, with a positive, take charge attitude
• Strong computer skills, MS Office especially Excel
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
• Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset
