Our client is looking for Data Analytic Developer

Position Title: Data Analytic Developer
Est. Start Date: ASAP
Length of Contract: 6 months
Possibility of Extension: Yes
Physical Working Location: 120 Bloor Street
Remote: Yes, currently

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm

Role Mandate:
A resource responsibility for the development of a centralized data repository in a Telemetry initiative to achieve a business outcome (A near real-time Critical service monitoring health dashboard). Candidate is the main resource to build and maintain a centralized data repository consisting of multiple data feeds so that a near real-time dashboard can be built on top of the data repository. Candidate must have excellent understanding of data flows, data aggregation, data migration, data curation, data consumption, data placements, data analytics, machine learning and AI.

MS Teams is available throughout the day for team members to communicate. Teams are very supportive of one another. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of programming languages.
 
Must-Have Skills:
• Have 8+ years of working experience at building data warehouse, making connections to various data feeds into a single data repository
• Working in the banking industry for 3+ years and understand the complexity of a big organization
• Solid hands-on working experience on enterprise level data platform and analytics solutions (e.g. Data Warehouse, Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, SAS…);
• Have working knowledge and experience with implementing dashboards out of application monitoring tools (ie. Aternity, SCOM, Azure, Elastic Search, application log files, Service Now etc), and be part of agile projects.
• Have experience using Jira and other tools related to the agile methodology

• Previous financial institution experience
• Attention to detail and process driven
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
• Fast learner with the ability to multi-task

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Using knowledge of programming languages to develop visualization and working with data engineering group
• Ensuring the data continuity of pipelines are put in place
• Coding from an algorithm perspective
• Understanding filters and what coding is required
• Developing within multiple platforms while working in partnership with the Business Analyst
• Understanding what all the requirements are to be able to develop in an agile fashion (not all heads down)
• Working at delivering small key deliverables with the Business Analyst
• Consistently reviewing what needs to be fixed and working from a punch list
• Machine learning requirement looking at Python – individual working should have a base level of knowledge in this
 
Education
• Post-secondary degree in a related field
