MaxSys is currently looking for a Desktop Publishing/Graphic Designer for our Federal Client.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
 
• Secondary school diploma is required
 
Experience:
 
• Must clearly demonstrate 2 years’ experience within the past 5 years in designing and delivering a wide range of graphics products, including brochures, posters, large displays, certificates, graphics for social media, video, web and multimedia use, including some experience in animating graphics for web and social media.
• Must clearly demonstrate 2 years’ experience within the past 5 years in managing overarching brands while supporting subsidiary brands for organizations and events, including advising on brand integration and development of associated templates
• Must clearly demonstrate 2 years’ experience within the past 5 years of extensive ability to use appropriate software to develop and modify graphics and design elements (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro and similar software graphics programs) and Office 365.
• Must clearly demonstrate 2 years’ experience within the past 5 years providing advice to clients with regards to graphic design
• Must clearly demonstrate research skills and knowledge of design theory, typography and image selection
 
Duties may include, but not limited to:
 
• Provide a variety of graphics for print, web and social media with short turnaround times.
• Collaborate with Directorate of Public Affairs teams and others at Army Headquarters to develop print products, displays, templates, photo montages, graphic animations, web graphics and social media graphics etc.
• Manage files to ensure they are organized and easy to find.
• Share graphic files through Google Drive, Defence O365 SharePoint and internal Defence network.
• Seek product approval through the established process.
• Apply branding as per established guidelines.
• Follow Government of Canada guidelines, directives and policies such as the Communications Policy, Official Languages Act, and Federal Identity Program etc.
• Manage multiple graphic design projects with varying deadlines.
