MaxSys is currently looking for an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician- Intermediate for our Federal Client.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized Canadian post-secondary  institution
• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years in mechanical and electronic component assembly, configuration of electronic equipment, performing instrument tests and documenting results
• Must be able to move material weighing 25kg manually. And must be demonstrated by providing a description of a requirement completed within the last one (1) year
Duties that may include, but not limited to:
• Based on discussions with Project Authority or delegate, assemble, configure, test, and document findings for technical equipment related to seismic monitoring stations, including power systems, geophysical instrumentation and networking devices. Work with Project Authority to prioritize particular elements.
• Movement of materials, supplies and equipment around the NRCan facility will require use of a forklift. Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 25 kg manually will also be required.
• Testing and configuration of equipment will follow pre-described procedures, including setup of computer configuration information and functional tests to identify deficiencies in power and networking components as well as geophysical instrumentation.
• Documentation may include checklists, forms, spreadsheets, and similar documents for the purpose of recording and verifying test procedures and results. Template documents for this purpose to be provided by NRCan.
• Organization of technical materials, supplies, and equipment will be required once configured, tested and documented.
• Track status of work and be prepared to report on weekly or biweekly basis to Project Authority or delegate. Arrange meetings as required.
