MaxSys is currently looking for a Geomatics Analyst for our Federal Client.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Must demonstrate that each of the proposed resources have one (1) of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Analysis;
• Diploma in Simulation/Gaming Development; or
• Certificate in Geospatial Information Systems.
• Must demonstrate that each of the proposed resources have one (1) year of experience in the past three (3) years of Geomatics/Simulation experience
• Must demonstrate that each of the proposed resources have two (2) years of experience as a Geomatics Analyst.
Duties may include, but not limited to:
The work to be performed will be related but not limited to:
• Develop and document detailed statements of requirement;
• Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows;
• Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure and application sub-systems, and develop data dictionary;
• Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within sub-systems, to external systems and between new and existing systems;
• Define input/output sources, including a detailed plan for technical design phase, and obtain approval of same;
• Design and document in detail all system components, their interfaces and operational environment;
• Design data structures and files, sub-systems and modules, programs, batch, on line, and production monitoring procedures, testing strategy and systems;
• Document system design, concepts and facilities, present and obtain approval of detailed system design;
• Produce an operational system including all forms, manuals, programs, data files and procedures;
• Provide advice on GIS and Remote Sensing technology and its application;
• Perform analysis and modeling;
• Design and implement functional prototypes;
• Interpret project objectives and create appropriate data, analysis and output products (maps, reports);
• Restructure data from various sources and in diverse formats;
• Create and update metadata;
• Create, update and maintain procedures and standards;
• Create, update, revise and document data sets;
• Design processes for performing earth observation (EO) image processing;
• Analyze and processes EO data;
• Design and write GIS and/or Remote Sensing related programs;
• Interpret remotely sensed imagery to identify topographic and cultural features;
• Create three-dimensional models and databases of topographic and cultural features using various simulation editing Software; and
• Perform quality control (QC) inspections on collected models and databases.
