Our client is looking for a “HR Writer & Process Analyst” to work in Verdun, QC.
HR is on a journey to evolve the employee experience by leveraging new, user-friendly technology. HR information must be available as needed, people are efficiently guided to the right systems and departments, and employees can get relevant help. The HR writer will play an integral role in shaping how we communicate to our employees via our self-serve tools and become the “voice of HR”.
The HR writer will work closely with HR subject matter experts, corporate communications and user experience designers to reinvent how we structure and present HR information on our new HR portal to create a consumer-grade employee experience.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Brings the established company brand and voice to the HR content by editing and rewriting web pages for the HR portal and other employee-facing HR systems
• The HR material produced must be written with the end-user in mind and meet the following criteria
o Intuitive, employee-friendly language
o Efficient text
o Consistent terminology across all HR topics
• Works closely with HR subject matter experts to understand the targeted HR policies, programs, processes and workflows
• Documents current and future workflows / employee journey maps to support the development of innovative solutions for improving the employee journey
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and/or automation and designs automated procedures
• Composes new process maps and documentation detailing the new solution
• Coordinates process improvement and employee journey mapping meetings with HR subject matter experts
• Collaborates with project team to design the new flow and structure of the targeted content while acting as the end user’s advocate in the development process
Essential knowledge, skills and requirement
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic communications support and writing
• 3 – 5 years of communications experience within a complex entity, and covering areas such as website content
• Able to take knowledge and transform it into exciting and useful messages
• Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented analytical thinker
• Excel, Visio & Powerpoint experience
• A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently
• Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to “manage by influence”
• High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels
• Sincere commitment to work collaboratively
• Self-starter/driver, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
• Creative and enjoys taking on new projects and implementing new ideas that serve the mission of an organization
