Insurance Advisor, Life, Health & Wealth
Our client is looking for self-motivated, highly driven and entrepreneurial individuals to join their field sales team. As an accredited Life & Wealth Advisor (HLLQP/LLQP), you provide integrated life insurance planning and advice to your existing network of referrals and new RBS client acquisitions.
You drive to understand the full-suite of the financial institution’s Insurance Life, Living Benefits, Wealth and Travel products enables you to provide valuable solutions to you clients based on their needs. Alongside your own prospecting and networking activity, you are fully supported by internal partners who send client referrals your way, and work to help to deepen your client relationships through effective opportunity spotting and honest sales practices.
What you will be doing:
• Connect with clients through discovery to better understand their life events and offer comprehensive insurance and financial advice that aligns to their current and changing needs
• Promote a client-first mindset by meeting clients when and where it is most convenient for them (i.e. their home, office, Internal Insurance store)
• Develop and deepen client relationships  with the use of Salesforce and other compliant customer tools
• Contribute to and be accountable for your team sales success through the achievement of your individual sales goals
• Increase your external networks by capitalizing on market opportunities and referrals from approved centers of influence
• Regularly review individual business results and adjust activities as required to meet established targets
• Deliver the client’s vision to be among the world’s most trusted and successful financial institutions
What you will need to succeed:
• A goal-oriented attitude with a strong ambition to succeed
• Honesty, integrity, and the desire to put clients first
• Business development and prospecting skills
• An appetite to learn and rake a vested interest in your client needs
• The ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others to action
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours (evenings and week-ends)
Must Haves:
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent
• Life/A&S License (HLLQP/LLQP), or willingness to complete
• 1 – 2 years’ professional sales experience, preferably within the insurance industry
• An existing network of referrals and approved centers of influence
• Competency with CRM systems, experience with Salesforce an asset
• A valid driver’s license, proper automobile insurance, and regular access to a vehicle
Nice to have:
• Bilingual, fluent in English and French
• In addition to English, the ability to speak another language fluently is an asset
• Industry Designations Preferred: CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), CHS (Certified Health Insurance Specialist)
