MaxSys is currently looking for an Intermediate Engineer/Scientist – Intermediate and Finished Goods Analysis for our client in the west end.
PURPOSE OF JOB
We are seeking an energetic and driven Intermediate Engineer who will play a key role on the test engineering team performing analysis on intermediate and finished goods.  The candidate will be responsible for assessing products and their conformances to specifications as well as performing data analysis and trending.  The successful candidate must have strong organization skills and ability to write documentation such as out of specification reports and other quality documentation.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gather and analyze data from product measurements and inline process measurements
• Use Statistical techniques to identify and predict trends; Generate data and metric reports
• Use advanced data visualization to create dashboards and reports for management and key stakeholders
• Author quality documents (e.g. Out of specification documents, product trending protocols and reports)
• Independently execute assigned tasks
• Attend cross-functional team meetings to share information
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technical developments in related areas, assess and integrate appropriate changes to work practices
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 1-3 years in a scientific or engineering role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering with Mathematics or Statistics focus, or equivalent;
• Strong working knowledge of data analysis and data mining techniques (SAS JMP or Minitab experience an asset);
• Ability to design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and document conclusions;
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills;
• Analytical skills, creativity and innovative approach to problem solving;
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and also to work independently;
• Willingness to work in labs, manufacturing areas, and office environments;
• Very strong investigational skills, drive to understand and solve problems;
• Propensity to continuous learning and experimentation.
