Our client in Telco industry is seeking a Junior Technical Writer in Toronto. This is a 12 months contract position.
 
Job Description
 
THE JOB
• You will be responsible for writing and distributing updates to the field.
• Your primary objective will be to write clear and concise retail communications that are both timely and accurate. You’ll deliver with the most relevant information by understanding the needs of our retailers and by staying on top of new and in-market campaigns.
 
THE DAY-TO-DAY
• Write communications to educate sales teams on new or updated offers, plans and policies.
• Work cross functionally with stakeholders to obtain sign-off and approvals for all communications.
• Use the playful and cheeky Mobile voice to build hype and keep things interesting.
• Create and update reference articles in The V Club (the retail communications portal).
• Update pricing, offer, hardware and software reference documents to ensure the information is accurate and complete.
• Prioritize projects and communication requests.
• Examine existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with exploring alternative communication tools.
• Assist with other communication related activities as required.
 
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
• University degree or College diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing or similar.
• Awesome writing, editing and communication skills.
• A can-do attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills along with solid attention to detail.
• The ability to think critically and outside of the box.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
 
BONUS POINTS FOR
• Experience with email marketing platforms (Mail Chimp).
• Knowledge of the wireless and retail industry.
• Bilingual English/French.
