MaxSys is currently looking for a Level 3 HR Consultant for our Federal Client. This is a mostly off-site and as needed for the next 3 years.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Must candidate has a university degree* in one (1) of the following relevant fields of study:
• Business Administration; OR
• Human Resources; OR
• Psychology
• Must demonstrate using project descriptions that its Proposed Resource has experience working on classification projects in developing IM or IT work descriptions within the federal or provincial government
• Must demonstrate using project descriptions that its Proposed Resource has recent* experience running multiple IM or IT staffing processes [minimum of five (5)] within short timeframes [ie. within an eight (8) week timeframe].
Duties may include, but not limited to:
• Manage assigned HR projects under the guidance of an organizational executive;
• Provide advice on HR strategic direction and development and execution of resourcing needs aligned with the HR plans and strategic direction of the organization’s business plan;
• Provide HR advice and operational services, including human resource planning, recruiting, staffing and resourcing;
• Assist with the strategy and recruiting of various positions including IM&TS positions;
• Manage the completion of HR actions including non-advertised, deployments at level, bridging, casuals, temporaries, advertised, and establishing pools at all levels in line with HR policies and business objectives;
• Oversee and manage the delivery of staffing processes. For each process, ensure the following is completed:
• Process preparation, including Statement of Merit Criteria Material generation, including all rating guides
• Process execution, including screening resumes, administering and marking exams, preparation for interviews and reference checks
• Complete process documentation for the creation of pools
• Report on project progress and issues to varying levels of senior and executive-level management;
• Provide Organizational Design and Classification Support as required;
• Prepare communication materials as required;
• Advise of any potential conflicts or risks to critical paths;
• Schedule, plan and lead sessions with clients and partners to gather business information, lessons learned and detailed requirements;
• Develop business process models and Identify linkages and inter-dependencies between business processes;
• Participate in daily and weekly meetings, including planning sessions;
• Evaluate project requirements to support the preparation of business cases;
• Assist with resource planning and development against Information Management System requirements; and Other HR support activities requested by the Project Authority
• In addition, the Contractor’s resources are expected to work collaboratively with departmental staff to ensure the work is completed in a way that ensures maximum knowledge transfer to departmental staff.
