MaxSys Staffing is currently looking for an experienced Machinist for a client in Cambridge, ON. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive wages starting ASAP. This is an opportunity that will allow you to be a part of a growing team and build your career. Shifts: 1 Days (Monday – Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm) / 1 Afternoons (Monday – Thursday, 3:00pm – 1:30am)

Major Responsibilities:

• Machine/grind high quality components for tools
• Inspects work visually or with appropriate measuring instruments
• Performs applicable tool repair and maintenance notifies Supervisor of required replacement stock
• Ensures documentation and records are accurately maintained
• Uses computer to accurately enter all Company required information (ex: clocking in/out)
• Participates in continual improvement through innovative and initiatives to improve safety, productivity, profitability and efficiency
• Follows all policies and procedures as detailed in process documents, immediately brings to the attention of Supervisor any discrepancies or opportunities for improvement
• Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times

• Licensed Machinist Program or applicable experience
• Ability to measure in both Imperial and Metric forms of measurement
• Have a thorough knowledge of machining manufacturing methods, techniques and related equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to safely operate a tow motor and crane with required training and license
• Basic knowledge of OSHA/OHSA regulations and safety standards
• Minimum 3 years of Machinist experience in a tool room setting
