MaxSys is currently looking for a Payroll Director for our client in the Dorval area.
The desired candidate perfectly masters the payroll production cycle. She or he will have solid experience in payroll operations management, personnel management and payroll project management, as well as demonstrated skills in maintaining strong team synergy.
Secondary school diploma is required
Have a college diploma in a related fielddebs21329
FLUENCY IN COMMUNICATING IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH, BOTH WRITTEN AND SPOKEN
Experience with construction
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a payroll position, including 5 years in a management position, payroll experience in the various Canadian provinces is an undeniable asset
Be a member of the Canadian Payroll Association
Possess excellent skills to manage, lead and mobilize a team
Managerial courage and critical thinking
Quality orientation, customer orientation and results orientation
Capacity in change management and continuous improvement

Duties that may include, but not limited to:
Lead payroll production operations for 800 employees in Canada, in order to ensure quality, accurate, courteous, fast and efficient service to internal clients.
Coordinate the various tasks and responsibilities related to payroll: production of T4s and
RL-1 slips, payroll deductions, end-of-pay and year-end entries, preparation of reports for senior management, etc.
Report to management on risks, dependencies and controls related to the service.
Do business with the payroll provider to improve the payroll system as needed.
Lead a team whose objective is to improve the business processes of the payroll department and other related services.
Manage 7 team employees, coach them and develop their potential.
Work with the Human Resources department to select and hire team members, to assess their performance and to ensure their performance.
