MaxSys is currently looking for a Policy, Senior for our Federal Client.
Secondary school diploma is required
Must hold a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, business administration, or political sciences
A minimum of 48 months of relevant experience which must include a combination of;
Preparing documents on current and emerging issues, including briefing materials, position papers, speaking points and policy research
Identifying data and information requirements to determine the implications of policy proposals and developments on a specific department or agency
Analyzing the effect of policy strategies and positions on initiatives
Assisting in the development of policy positions and strategy options or advice
Participating in departmental briefings and consultations on policy
Providing strategic policy planning and implementation advice to senior officials
Providing analysis and interpretation of policy options
Duties may include, but not limited to:
The work to be performed will be related but not limited to:
Develop a branch-wide communication strategy that will outline the various communication tools and approaches (e.g., communiqués, newsletters, event calendars, twitter, etc.) used to share information periodically with ADM(Fin)s audience (e.g., civilian and military personnel, senior executives, project teams, and other departmental groups).
Develop a branch-wide integrated workforce and workplace strategy that will enable ADM (Fin) to align its business requirements with its new work environment (e.g., workspace 2.0, office and parking accommodation, and personnel retention).
Review the existing organizational and group approaches and business models in order to develop two overarching strategies. Work in collaboration with key departmental groups (e.g., FI Community Development, ADM (PA) and ADM (HR-Civ)) to ensure that the strategies meet the departmental guidance and requirements.
Review existing Treasury Board policies, Government of Canada directives, and DND policies, orders, and directives to align our internal approaches with departmental directions and the regulatory requirements issued by the Government of Canada.
