Position: Production Assistant
The Production Assistant is responsible to perform the duties associated with production and manufacturing of products, receiving of goods and supplies and shipping.
• Assists in the production and packaging of products;
• Sets-up and operates a variety of machines, tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures;
• Completes appropriate documentation and ERP transactions for all production and related activities;
• Performs clean-up procedures and quality checks as required;
Inventory Control
• Assists in the picking and putting away of all materials and finished goods;
• Performs inventory counts as required;
• Works in an ISO certified company and complies with all applicable ISO requirements including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI’s) and quality assurance measures;
• Identifies non-conformances, initiating and resolving NCR’s;
• Adheres to the safety and performance standards as per the protocols and procedures set out by the client and Work Safe BC;
• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and operations equipment, tools, machinery, floor and environment to ensure a safe working environment;
• High School Graduate;
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 kg (~ 55 lbs);
• 1 year experience in manufacturing environment is a must;
• Attention to details;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Team player while being able to work independently;
• Fork-lift and Pallet Truck certification is a must;
• Experience in consumer packaging goods industry an asset;
• Experience with ERP systems and excel an asset;
• WHMIS certification is an asset;
• Safety certificates including First Aid an asset.
