MaxSys is currently looking for a R&D Operator II, Pharmaceutical Sector for our client in the west end.
We are currently hiring a full-time R&D Operator II for a 1 year contract at our Ottawa, ON clients medical cartridge manufacturing facility. The shift is a 4×4 (4 days on, 4 days off).
As a member of the Lab Services Team, you will be part of a group working to execute cartridge builds and maintain laboratory equipment. You will work within an established quality system to execute task requests on time, in full, and in a cost-effective manner in order to support R&D project deliverables.
? Assist with various aspects of manual cartridge assembly involving various cartridge builds, ranging from simple to more complex configurations.
? Work under regular supervision, assisting with the completion of routine and non-routine tasks in accordance with the direction provided, applicable SOPs, and established work routine.
? Solves problems using preestablished concepts, practices and procedures.
? Monitor supplies required for R&D lab operations and update inventory to assure an uninterrupted supply for experimental work.
? Assist with EHS lab-related initiatives such as chemical inventory control and participation in inspections or any other tasks required.
? Assist with performing experiments, involving activities including cartridge testing, as required, to support R&D project and other deliverables.
? Communicate as well as interface with and serve the needs of various stakeholders related to laboratory management. This requires a good deal of flexibility and the capacity to manage a fluctuating workload.
? Understands and complies with EHS and Quality related policies, procedures and guidelines.
? Be flexible to assist with any other miscellaneous tasks or duties as required.

Adheres and advocates to highest safety standards required
Ability to train peers on new procedures or processes required
Experience working with analytical and/or assembly equipment (>1 year) an asset

Experience writing/preparing operational procedures, forms and templates an asset
Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills an asset
Obtained and applied previous safety training an asset
Desired Information Technology skills
Proficient with Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) required
Experience working with MS Excel (intermediate or better) to record data, maintain inventories and metrics and log sheets required
Experience with inventory management an asset
