**URGENT-WON CONTRACT**
MaxSys is currently looking for a Records Management Clerk, Intermediate for our Federal Client.
Qualifications:
 
Education:
• Secondary school diploma is required
Experience:
• Must clearly demonstrate 1 years’ experience within the past 3 years in working in a records office, repository, warehouse or central registry environment
• Must be able to lift, carry and manipulate boxes weighing up to 20 kg on and off shelving units up top 6 ft tall with the assistance of warehouse locking step stools and over distances of up to 50 yards at a time.
Duties may include, but not limited to:
• The work will require working within a warehouse environment (steel toed shoes/boots required) to provide a range of recordkeeping services including but not limited to records classification, retrieval, filing and providing advice and support to clients;
• Requirement to lift, carry, bend, stretch and climb to retrieve and put away files/boxes to a maximum weight of 50 pounds; there will also be a daily exposure to dust from boxes and files.
• Review existing manifest for each box of DND/CAF holdings; if the holding contains items for destruction, then proceed with disposing of the files under authorization of a Record Disposition Services (RDS) supervisor; if the material is of enduring value it must be removed from the boxes and repackaged in proper archival accessions.
• Become familiar with the DND instructions on recordkeeping and records disposition;
• Application of barcode labels onto fixed shelving system.
• Inputting metadata into records management database(s) (such as RDIMS, LiveLink Records Server or GCDOCS) and processing files designated for putting away (PA) action;
• creation of file jackets/labels, cross-referencing and placing documentation on appropriate files while reviewing files to ensure that documentation is correctly ordered (e.g., date sequencing errors, documentation incorrectly assigned to file);
• Taking appropriate corrective action including reorganizing documentation and reassigning misfiled documentation to correct files;
• Prepare the DND 1790 form for all material destroyed as well as for the files transferred to LAC
• Segregate material to be destroyed by classification level for appropriate disposition. (ie re-cycle, shredding or burn)
• Responding to queries and requests from clients
