MaxSys Staffing is currently looking for a Sales Engineer Consultant for our client in London, Ontario. This is a full-time permanent position starting ASAP. The Sales Engineer Consultant position is a technical sales position responsible for interfacing with the companys customers to further expand our current sales growth in the north central district. The successful individual will be responsible for providing technical sales, product, and application support by performing joint sales calls, and quotations.
Major Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer Consultant:
Specific duties include, but not limited to; sales support for technical inquiries, and sales activities to discover customer optimization opportunities via modernizations including assisting in generating detailed proposals that reflect an understanding of the customer’s core processes. Offering customers solutions to improve safety, productivity and return on investment.
Comfortable cold calling and generating new and growing existing business.
Ability to build complex quotes on a short timeline.
Willingness to learn the industry, product line and grow within the organization.
Proven track record of increasing sales with target customers and/or service products.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and structural systems.
Provide technical sales assistance and support to the district
Ability to read and understand detailed customer specifications.
Experience with using and maintaining sales information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is preferred.
Qualifications of the Sales Engineer Consultant:
This position requires the skill set in effectiveness for district management growth, engineering processes, and advance communication abilities. The individual should have a technical expertise for electrical and mechanical field installations relating to overhead crane or similar industries. A qualified candidate needs to reside in the district and should be able to process technical information and provide technical solutions. Being able to read and understand electrical and mechanical prints. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word are required. Verbal and written communication plays a key role in this position. Four (4) or more years of experience in engineering relating to electrical, mechanical and structural systems, and the desire to go from engineering into the sales profession. Or eight (8) or more years of overhead crane industrial or similar industry technical sales experience.
