MaxSys Staffing is currently looking for a Site Superintendent for a well established Construction Company in Calgary. This is a great opportunity to work in a clean, safe, vibrant, fast paced environment.
• Organize, coordinate, monitor and manage all on-site construction activities including both subcontractors and General Contractor’s employee tradespersons on commercial building construction sites.
• Manage and enforce all on-site safety procedures in accordance with General Contractor’s Safety Policy and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Perform necessary inspections to ensure that the completed construction adheres to the project technical specifications and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Ensure that construction projects are completed within planned schedule and cost.
• Ensure that all change orders and site instructions are properly completed.
• Record and transfer project as-built information generated by change orders and site instructions onto project record drawings.
• Perform quantity calculations for ordering of materials.
• Complete daily progress reports for record purposes.
• Ensure deficiencies are completed on a timely basis.
• Assist in the project commissioning process.
• Manage General Contractor’s on-site equipment for proper use and working condition.
• Willing to travel and perform the above duties within the Province of Alberta.
• Perform other duties related to this position

Education and Qualifications: (required)
• Minimum 10-15 years relevant work experience at the Superintendent level preferably with an Engineering Degree or Community College Diploma in a Civil Engineering/or Construction related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant Carpentry trade skills/experience required.
• knowledge and experience in Commercial and Industrial construction is required.
• Knowledge of general construction procedures is preferable.
• Good communication skills.
• Good planning, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer competency.
• Math competency.
• Professional, respectful demeanor.
