MaxSys is currently looking for a Socioeconomics for our Federal Client.
Qualifications:
 
Education:
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Must demonstrate that each proposed resource has a degree/diploma from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution in Life Science or in a related field
Experience:
• In addition to English, the bidder must demonstrate that each proposed resource is fluent in one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Portoguese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Farsi or Indonesian
• Must demonstrate that the proposed resource has 12 months of relevant experience in socio-economics within the last 5 years

Duties that may include, but not limited to:
• Maintain the GPHIN system by :
a) Publishing relevant and trashing irrelevant articles in nine (9) different languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Farsi or Indonesian). 
b) Check the auto published and auto trashed articles to make sure they are relevant or otherwise
c) Checking duplicate articles to make sure they are actually duplicates
• Search the internet for relevant articles and push those into the system by coping and pasting them into GPHIN through the specific interface.
• Tag articles in the system for different types of reports.
• Create and edit reports
• Conduct rapid risk assessments for events and outbreaks and analyze the relevance and the risk that a certain event would pose for Canada and the world
• Verify the credibility of the sources of information
• Help with developing a classification system and searches on Factiva website
• Translate the classification system from other languages to English
