Our client in the Banking industry is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst in Toronto. This is a 6 months contract.
Role Mandate:
Work collaboratively with technology partners, operational areas, and business stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage business requirements. The candidate must be able to produce and communicate detailed requirements that would be used by developers, and would be referenced as part of SIT and UAT. The work being completed will be part of the Capital Markets Trade Volume Reporting (TVR) project which has tight deadlines. 5-7 years of experience in the field.
Candidate Value Proposition (CVP): This role allows the candidate to work in an established institution and with multiple groups within the bank, which will allow candidate to build skills and confidence. Candidate will have a lot of autonomy and will be able to advocate the position.
Group Culture: This candidate would be working mostly on their own so he/she must be a self-starter and possess a strong work ethic. There will be lots of interaction with other individuals from different areas of the firm.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Elicit and document business requirements
Support the delivery of business solutions
Interviewing stakeholders
Participate in SIT & UAT
Relaying information to appropriate parties
Must-Have Skills:
5-7 years of experience (hybrid experience technical and business)
Previous Capital Markets experience
Able to handle large data sets and draw logical insights
Strong BA BRD, Excel & SQL
Strong communication skills
Self-starter
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Trade Lifecycle experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Business
Working in agile environment
BA Certification
