Our client in Banking & Finance industry is seeking a Support Services Associate in Toronto. This is a 6 months contract position.
Being a support service team, the team is responsible for supporting numerous lines of business but this role will be assisting primarily with term investments. This individual may be responsible for daily tasks such as account set ups, manually processing trades (i.e. buys, sells, switches, transfers) as well as reconciliation duties. This is a heavily paper based environment. This role requires candidate to be a subject matter expert related to term investments, which will require the individual to work with our Client Services team to provide inquiry support required from advisors, as well as participating in project work as necessary.
Candidate Value Proposition (CVP): This role allows the candidate to work in an established institution and with multiple groups within the Bank, which will allow candidate to build skills and confidence. Candidate will have a lot of autonomy and will be able to advocate the position.
Group Culture: This candidate would be part of a team. The work is mostly done in an independent fashion, however, will be communicating with other teams (quality control team, front end, processing, back end, etc.).
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Process manual GIC entries and transfers on a day-to-day basis
Reconciliation between system balance and money received
Investigating discrepancies with partners from other Lines of Business
Processing support for new initiatives and inquiries
Participate in project meetings and assist with testing, if required
2 years of data entry/processing
Experience using Unitrax
Experience with R-term
