Our client in Finance industry is seeking a Vendor Management – Network and Unified Communications in Mississauga. This is Permanent position.
 
Job Description
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide network strategic planning, architecting, design, network vulnerability assessments, capacity planning, and project management.
• Work with managed network provider on future proofing the network.
• Work with managed network provider to install, configure, test and maintain software firewalls, and WAF’s across enterprise.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of network and infrastructure availability.
• Maintain security, backup/recovery, and redundancy strategies.
• Create support and operational documentation for new products.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for Network and Infrastructure issues.
• Perform support and administration on technologies related, but not limited to Azure and Office 365 environments, including Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint and Exchange.
• Work with vendors and partners maintain and continuously improve retail IT infrastructure.
• Participate in an On-Call rotation with Infrastructure team for afterhours emergency issues.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
 
Qualifications:

• Proven working experience with routing, addressing, cloud networking, interactions between networking and infrastructure (radius, segmentation).
• Capable of managing various vendor and partner relationships, ensuring project deliverables and milestones are achieved.
• Comfortable working in a fast pace, high pressure environment.
• Knowledge and working experience of network security.
• Familiar with enterprise retail infrastructure technologies such as MPLS, SDWAN, FTTX.
• Mitel phone experience is an asset.
• Experience with communication technologies such as VOIP, SIP, and POTS.
• Acts as Engineer for the administration and maintenance of all networks. Under general direction, documents, designs, implements, and maintains corporate data communications networks which support the data center, retail stores, distribution centers, and remote offices.
• Plays a key role in the daily administration of DHCP/DNS servers, network monitoring systems, wireless infrastructure, WAF, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPN/SSL systems.
• Serves as Engineer for the administration and maintenance of WAN.
• Performs complex troubleshooting of network performance issues regarding local and wide area networks. Assumes proactive role in maintaining network availability for all corporate users.
• Hands-on experience with software upgrades and device maintenance.
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Hands-on experience in Azure with Network and Infrastructure Support and Administration.
• Experience with admin and support of Office 365 and/or Exchange Online.
• Experience with admin and support of SharePoint Online.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux OS.
• Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with monitoring systems.
• Solid PowerShell scripting skills.
• 5 to 7 years of experience with Cisco Network devices. (Routers, Switches and Firewalls).
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP or CCIE preferred.
