Requirements:University degree, preferably with emphasis on human resources, political science, business or public policy administrationStrong report-writing skills and oral presentation experienceExperience in research, statistical and qualitative analysis of dataMinimum of seven to ten years work experience in corporate or government human relationsExperience in project management and career-related programmingFluency in English, with French considered a strong asset.
Deliverables:Coordinate and support the Senior Director, Government and stakeholder Relations activities to increase government awareness of domestic labour issuesLead discussions with members and stakeholders to promote the development and coordination of policies and programs to build recruitment and skills developmentCompile an inventory of government programs and funding support available for recruitment and skills development; develop and propose new programs where appropriateIdentify gaps in government workforce development programs needed to support industry requirementsIdentify career awareness initiatives and events arranged by schools, unions, government departments, etc. and promote domestic participationOther duties as required
